Hadley's 2nd Birthday Party!

We celebrated Hadley's 2nd birthday tonight with an Elmo themed party.  Most of our immediate family came over for the evening.  Austin made his traditional smoked pulled pork and we served some light sides.  We got an Elmo cupcake cake from Walmart and it looked and tasted great.  This year was a lot more fun watching Hadley celebrate her birthday because she really got into it...animated faces and all!   

Hadley wanted her "Elmo cake" so bad that we decided to let her blow out her candle first, before everyone ate dinner.  Hadley of course ate her cupcake and then ate her dinner.  A little backwards, but hey, she is the birthday girl!

This picture is so stinkin' sweet!  Hadley wanted to give daddy a kiss.  There is no way he could say no, even with all of that icing around her lips!  I'm going to put this one in her wedding slide show some day. 

Hadley hands out a lot of kisses lately, so when Uncle Zeb finally arrived, I told her to give him one too.  Messy icing punishment for showing up late! 

It was so much fun to have a birthday party for Hadley this year.  Of course she's older, so she's more aware of what's going on and more active in general.  It was super fun to watch her excitement as she opened her birthday presents!

Gabe and Julianna are such well behaved children.  They sat like this the entire time that Hadley opened her presents.  So sweet!

Brynn sat on the other side with Aunt Shelby.  How can you not love that little face!

Hadley seriously cracks me up!  I'm not sure what she was so astounded by in this picture, but it's priceless!
