An Evening Stroll...

The weather was awesome today, so we decided to go on a little stroll along the shoreline of our lake.
Hadley rode in her front carrier with Daddy.  As you can see, she was excited as we were getting ready to head out of the house!
The water was a little mucky today.  We can't wait until it gets warmer and the lake gets more clear so that we can swim in it this summer!
Daddy and Hadley stopping for a quick picture, with our house in the far background.
Hadley showing off one of her new summer hats.  If you ask her momma, she's just too stinkin' cute!
A view down the shore from our house.
And finally, a rarity...a picture of Hadley and me!

Long over due...

Last Thursday Austin received his diploma in the mail for his Master's degree.  He finished his last class and graduated in August.  Most of you know the whirlwind of a life we had this past summer with buying a house, selling a house, moving me to Warsaw, and having Hadley.  Unfortunately Austin's HUGE accomplishment got pushed to the wayside.  We as a family value education immensely and I love to give credit where credit is due.  My humble husband, however, barely accepts a pat on the back.  Well, this is my shout out to Austin for doing an awesome job and making me and Hadley so very proud of him.

Congratulations on a job well done, dear!
We love you and couldn't be more proud.

1st and 2nd tooth!

Austin noticed that Hadley's first tooth broke through last Sunday, March 14th on her 7 month birthday.  We didn't even know she was cutting a tooth?  What a sweet little things she is!  Austin noticed her 2nd tooth had broken through today, while at cousin Brynn's 1st birthday party.  Once again, we didn't even know she was cutting another tooth!  Oh how we hope the rest come in like these two - nice and easy with no fuss!

Brynn's First Birthday Bash!

Our niece Brynn turned "ONE" on Friday and her birthday party was today.  It was a pool party held at the Health Trac in Three Rivers, MI.  Austin and Hadley were there to help her celebrate, but unfortunately, I had to work.  The party was right up Hadley's alley, as she's been taking swim lessons and loves the water!  As you can imagine, Austin had his hands full, but he did manage to grab a few quick pics for my blog!  Thank you, dear!

When I saw these pics I recognized the bib right away.  I bought the same one for Hadley in early preparation for her 1st birthday party.  I bought her a birthday shirt too!  I guess great minds do think alike!

We bought Brynn a pool and some pool toys for summer.  We sure do hope she likes them!

Happy 1st Birthday, Brynn!

6 months and 2 weeks of "love!"

I was happy to sit there and labor for love
to give my baby what dreams are made of
to grow and one day be big and strong
knowing in the blink of an eye she’ll be gone.
I dream of her future, an unwritten book
How will she act?
How will she look?
I want for her a myriad of things
not silver or gold or big diamond rings
but love and joy,
health, happiness and laughter
these are the treasures I want for my daughter.
As I sit and I dream, I hold in my heart
the time I spent giving her the best possible start

I finally packed away my things today...two weeks after starting the ending process. It's been a quick and easy finish to a long 6 months and 2 weeks of "laboring for love!" Luckily my extra work will still be around to benefit Hadley for the next 6 months, lasting until her 1st birthday! Ahh, what an accomplishment!

Who's That?

While I was playing with Hadley today, I noticed that she was a little distracted.  With the warm weather and sunny skies, we have a lot of light coming in through the huge windows at the front of our house, and as a result, she discovered her shadow.  She was very interested in it, and we had a lot of fun watching mommy's hand make funny shadows too!
