Happy Thanksgiving!

Hadley celebrated her first Thanksgiving today!
Austin and I have so much to be thankful for, but today we were especially thankful for our wonderful families!

We started out at the Carrothers/Wise family Thankgiving which consists of all of my Grandma Wise's sisters and their children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
Unfortunately things have changed since I was a little girl when there were 60 to 70 of us...but we still have a great time.  This year the count during prayer circle was 34!

There was a ton of good food, which someday Hadley will prefer over her bottle!

Hadley had a fun time playing with her cousins Gabe and Julianna.  Check out how Gabe hams it up for the camera!

My Aunt Thelma insisted on getting pictures of each of the families.  The top picture is my dad with all of his kids and grandkids.  The bottom picture is my family with Uncle Doug (my dad's brother) and 2/8 of his family.  For the picture to be complete, we still need my Aunt Suzie and Uncle Skip's families as well!  Were a large group!

We spent the late afternoon with Austin's family at his Grandpa and Grandma Reames house.  For just being immediate family, they had an impressive turn out as well - the count was 17!

Hadley had a lot of fun playing with her cousin Brynn!  I can't wait until they get a little older...they will have a great time together!

Last year we had a picture taken with all of the family...I should have thought to do it again this year.  Regardless, we did get some cute pictures of Hadley in her "Baby's 1st Thanksgiving" outfit that Uncle Zeb bought for her.  Thanks, Uncle Zeb!

We spent the evening with my mom and brother Zeb enjoying desserts and a movie.  I feel terrible that I failed to get any pictures.  I will be sure to do it next year!

New Toy!

We thought Hadley might be getting bored with her swing and floor gym, so we bought her a new bouncer.  As you can see from her face, she likes it a lot!

Return to work...Ugh!

Today was my first day back to work (from maternity leave) at Clarian West Medical Center.  It was a great 14 weeks off!

A few months before Hadley was born, I switched from day shift to weekend option at work.  This shift is nice because it makes it possible for Hadley to not go to daycare.  It's a bit of a drive, but I enjoy the hospital and my co-workers very much.  Plus - you can't beat a whole week's pay for only two days of work!

Hadley's real life jungle...

We got to take home some of the plants from Grandma Wise's funeral today.
Hadley rode in the back seat with them...too cute!

Grandma Wise's Viewing

My Grandma Wise's viewing was today at McHatton-Sadler funeral home in Pierceton.  She was the loving mother and grandmother of 4 children, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  Though it was hard to say goodbye, I rejoice in the fact that she was a Christian and went home to be with her Lord!

My grandma had five new grandbabies this year...
Front Row: Rose w/ Graham - 3 weeks old, Crystal w/ Austin - 2 months old
Backrow: Alexis w/ Julianna - 7 months old, Me w/ Hadley - 3 months old, Heather w/ Leola - 8 months old

Congratulations Andy and Geni Sullivan!

Today we traveled to Indianapolis to attend the wedding of some of our friends, Andy and Geni (Apke) Sullivan.  We had an awesome time celebrating with great friends!  This was also our first time to leave Hadley overnight.  She stayed at home with Grandma Kim and Aunt Shelby.

Here is the dancing bride and groom!

Who's that girl with Austin?

Traditional Delta Sigma Phi serenade...oh, I remember mine!  Who doesn't dig thirty plus guys singing to you on your wedding day?

And paybacks for Geni - I won't go into details, but during Andy's serenade...I returned the favor!

Jen and Tracey...

 Me and Bob...

Moser, Zeb, Snyder, Derrick and McCue...

Jed, Austin and Herber...

Zeb caught the garter...

And just remember...you're never too old to have a good time!
(check out the tie around Geni's Grandpa's head!)

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan!

Happy Birthday Adaline and Amelia Anders!!

Today Hadley and I went to Adaline and Amelia Anders birthday party at the Joy Jungle at New Life Christian Church.  The celebration was for Adaline's 5th and Amelia's 3rd birthdays.  The girls are the daughters of one of my best friends, Jaci.  Austin was at the UofM vs. Purdue football game.

Interesting fact: They both share the same birthday and it happens to be Uncle Zeb's birthday as well - November 10th!

Hadley got to meet lots of people for the first time today, like Katie (Jaci's little sister) and Denver (Jaci's papa) whom I've known since I was a little girl!

This was the first party that Hadley was alert and enjoying all of the sights the entire time - she's growing up so fast!!

Miss Hollywood sure did enjoy her party favor!

Jaci's mama Pat made Hadley an afghan and I think it was in record time!  She asked what color we wanted on Monday and Hadley received her blanket today - Saturday ... wow that was fast!  Hadley loves it and played on it as soon as we got home!

And I couldn't resist more of these pictures - too cute!!
