Gabe's T-ball Game - Opening Day!

Gabe is playing T-ball again this year, so Austin and Hadley went down to check out the first game of his season.  He is playing for the "blue team," otherwise known as the Dodgers! I'm not sure if he won this game, but Grandpa hit a homerun with his popcorn...the kids loved it!

Good luck this year Gabe!

Wheelbarrow Ridin'

Word Explosion!

Hadley's vocabulary has exploded over the last few days.  This weekend she started saying Elmo, shoes and more.  She also says baby (her 1st word!) yours, trash, up, bye, push, pull, horse, kitty, dog, duck, daddy, mom, oh no, uh oh, yeah, happy, Abby, wawa (translation = water), buzz, Boz, ice, door, oh gosh, oh goodness, icky, mess, yes, hat, cool, book, juice, fall and drop!  She might have a few more words, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Hadley and I were grocery shopping last Monday when we ran into my friend Jaci.  I was trying to get Hadley to say Elmo to her, but she wouldn't.  A few minutes later we came into an isle with balloons.  One of the balloons was Elmo and she screamed it out loud.  Jaci got to her her say Elmo and Hadley got the balloon because mommy was so proud of her for saying it!

Happy Easter!

Austin and Hadley went up to Grandma Reames house today for the annual Easter celebration.  Same old story...I had to work.  It looks like they had a great time hunting for Easter eggs, followed by a yummy dinner and then some quality family time.  Hadley got some super cute Easter things in her baskets from her Great Grandparents and Grandparents.  She's such a lucky little girl!

...and then Mark and Kim with Great Grandma and Grandpa Reames.

The girls got alligators that blow bubbles in their Easter baskets.  They had a fun time trying them out after the egg hunt.

Not sure what these two little girls are up to?  It's a secret toddler conspiracy!

Hadley's Private Easter Egg Hunt

It's no secret that Hadley loves Elmo.  My mom found some Elmo Easter eggs, so she filled them and made an Easter egg hunt at our house for Hadley today.  They did the hunt right after they got back from the Kosciusko County Fair hunt and eating lunch, so Hadley definitely knew what to do this time.  I had to work, but Zeb took some pictures for me.  Thank you, Zeb!

I love Hadley's animated faces as she was hunting for the eggs.  It looks like everyone had a good time.  I'm sorry I had to miss it.

Kosciusko County Fairgrounds Easter Egg Hunt

Austin, mom and Zeb took Hadley to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds Easter Egg Hunt this morning.  This is the same public Easter Egg Hunt that my mom always took us to when we were little, so the tradition continues!  I unfortunately had to work though.  It was Hadley's first real egg hunt with a bunch of other little kids her age.  From what I hear, she didn't really get what was going on.  When the whistle blew, all the kids went running except for Hadley, but she soon figured it out and went running too.  Once she got out into the hunting patch though, she still wasn't exactly sure what to do, so daddy had to show her how to find the eggs and put them into her basket.  She only got four, but that's okay!  It sounds like she had a fun time anyways.

Patiently waiting for the egg hunt to start...

Too cute!  She's running, but she doesn't know what for.

Daddy is helping her get the hang of things...

Checking out her find with daddy and Grandma...

A big Thank You to the Kosciusko Community Fair Board and Creighton Brothers for making this community Easter Egg Hunt such a huge success for many generations!
