We spent today relaxing at the house, enjoying the ocean and the pool! Dad got up early this morning and took a walk on the beach. These are his pictures below...
Uncle Zeb bought Gabe a pirate costume at the museum yesterday. Gabe had a great time playing with it. Apparently he put it on first thing this morning. Argh!
Miss Juli showing her beautiful smile while eating breakfast this morning!
After everyone got up and around we headed out to the ocean. We all wore regular clothes except John and Melissa, who had on their swimsuits. What were we thinking? Some of us did end up heading back to the house to change so that we could swim and play in the water.
Hadley was excited to get down to the water!
John showing Hadley how to make fun things in the sand...
The boys played football on the beach. Check out Austin's form!
I can't remember who found this crab shell on the shore, but Hadley had a great time playing with it. She loves checking out cool stuff like that.
Juli didn't let the fact that she wasn't wearing a swimsuit stop her from enjoying the water!
Everyone got into playing in the sand and building fun sand castles and things...
Uncle Zeb buried Gabe's legs and turned him into a mermaid!
After hours of playing in the sand, Hadley still said "Yucky!" after she couldn't get all the sand off her hands. Silly girl!
She didn't like the sand stuck on her hands, but yet she didn't mind it stuck to her mouth!
Hadley loved watching everyone get into the ocean to swim.
Lex and Melissa enjoyed a little splashing match!
A tired little Miss Hadley...
After we were done playing on the beach, we decided to get into the pool. It was really warm! I'm going to guess 91 degrees. It felt just like the warm water pool at the YMCA.
Hadley sported her new swimsuit and hat from her Great Great Uncle Mick and Aunt Kay. She looked really cute!
Hadley insisted on getting in the pool. As you can see, she didn't last very long.
After this picture, I enjoyed the awesome warm pool!
After a long day of playing in the sun, none of us wanted to cook. Plus, we all wanted to get some tasty seafood, so we decided to go out to dinner tonight. Uncle Zeb used Urbanspoon again and found The Mad Crabber. It was pretty good seafood, but I wouldn't run right back.
Dad took this picture of me drawing on the table paper. My drawing was less than impressive, especially compared to my sister's drawing below...
Amazing that she drew this in less than 5 minutes! I told you Melissa, you should have been an art teacher. It's never too late!
Miss Hadley wasn't in the best mood tonight. In fact, a little bit later, daddy had to take her out before we were done eating because she had enough. I think she was just exhausted from a long day of playing outside.
Not the best picture below, but Hadley's concentration cracks me up. She loved shaking the ice. Whatever it took to try and make her happy!
Whew! What another fun day with my family. I love all of us being together!
Good Night, yet again OBX.
See ya in the morning!
