Myrtle Beach 2010!

Hadley and I decided to take Grandma Joyce on vacation to Myrtle Beach.  It is her first time to see the ocean and a palm tree.

We left from Uncle Zeb's house at 3:00 a.m. this morning and got into Myrtle Beach around 3:30 p.m.  Hadley slept most of the night and woke up at 10:30 a.m.  We stopped for a late breakfast/early lunch and then drove the rest of the way.  She did great!  We stayed at the Beach Cove Resort in North Myrtle in room 1615 on the top floor.  It was a great view and a great condo.  Here are some pictures...

The above pictures are from the front of our condo, looking out from the front door and from the road as you drive up.  The following pictures are from our deck and the beach.  I love sitting on the deck and enjoying the view of the ocean and beach...especially in the evenings!

We have 4 pools 3 hot tubs 1 kiddie pool and a lazy river to choose from..wow!

This is mom's first view of the ocean...EVER!  She just kept saying, "Wow, it's so big and just keeps going on for miles and miles!"  Of course she's seen pictures of the ocean, but it's completely different when you get to see it with your own eyes for the first time!  My first time was Clearwater, FL when I was 17 years old on spring break my senior year of High School.

We had a long day of driving so we decided to eat dinner at a BBQ place called Sticky Fingers.  It appears to be a chain in the south.  We LOVED it!  I wish it would find it's way up north very soon.  After dinner we retreated back to the room for some much needed R&R.  See ya tomorrow Myrtle Beach!
