After 2 1/2 days, Dr. Grondahl decided that Hadley had to be born via c-section or I would have some severe medical problems from her birth. Dad got ready in his sterile scrubs, I lay in my bed terrified of the epidural sedation for surgery, and then Hadley was born. She was not happy with the nurses, but for good reason. Like Uncle Zeb said, "would you be happy if they placed a cold object the size of a tire rim on your chest?" Mom got to meet her little girl for the first time shortly after her birth!
