Hadley's First Christmas Eve with Mommy and Daddy!

For Hadley's first Christmas we have decided to start a family tradition.  We will all get new pajamas on Christmas Eve.  Hadley opened hers with Daddy.  It was another set of "Baby's First Christmas" pajamas.

Here is a picture of Hadley and me in our new pajamas.  This was our last picture before we went to sleep dreaming of Santa!

Christmas Eve - Wise Family

For as long as I can remember,  I have celebrated Christmas Eve at my Grandpa and Grandma Wise's house.  I come from a large family and some of my fondest memories are getting together with all of my cousins and sharing in the excitement of Santa coming that night.  My Grandparent's have since passed away and now we celebrate Christmas Eve with my Dad and my siblings.  This year Austin and I hosted Christmas Eve at our house!

Austin and I did our Christmas shopping early this year and it was so exciting to have lots of presents wrapped and under the tree for a few weeks before Christmas!

Hadley and I woke up every morning during the month of December and changed the days on our Santa "count down" until Christmas.  It was a fun tradition to start with my little girl!

Our stockings were hung from the staircase with care!

My sister Lex and I made lots of Christmas candy for our family get together.  I love the display!  Yummy!

We had pictures taken of Hadley at "The Picture People" to give to the grandparent's for Christmas.  Along with our purchase they gave us name tags with Hadley's picture on them.  They were too cute!

Our nephew Gabe hamming it up for the camera in front of the Christmas tree!

Our niece Julianna eating one of Hadley's toys and dressed in her Christmas best.  She's such a doll baby!
Hadley and I setting the table for dinner.

The girls hanging out together...
More presents!  My dad is the best present buyer ever!  I get just as excited to open presents as I did when I was a little girl!  He really puts a lot of thought into what you would like to have and I love that!
Hadley in her "Baby's First Christmas" bib and her "Baby's 1st Christmas" onsie that Grandpa Mark and Grandma Kim bought for her.

Hadley hanging out with Daddy, and patiently waiting to open her presents!

Gabe was super excited about his gift from Uncle Zeb...a Transformer's bike helmet with knee and elbow pads.  Safety first!

Hadley opening one of her presents...

A picture of all of the kids together...with Lex and me, of course!

Hadley and Julianna laying on Julianna's new HUGE stuffed dog that we got her for Christmas.  I wanted to lay on it myself!
My little sweet pea!

And finally, Uncle Zeb and Gabe posing with their Santa hats for a picture.  Like Uncle like nephew, I guess!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

New Moves!

It's official - Little Miss Hadley can now roll over on her own! She did it for the first time on Sunday night, and has since repeated the efforts several times! She's been teetering on her side for several weeks now, but didn't quite have the courage to "get on over." As you can probably tell...we are quite proud! 4 months and 1 week old and rolling over...she's our little go get 'er!

Austin grabbed these photos because I was driving home from Indy...boo! He actually didn't see her do it either because he was watching TV and trying to eat his dinner. Don't worry though...she's since showed us her new moves!

Hadley meets Santa Claus!

Austin took today off of work and we spent it as a family in Greenwood.  Our main agenda was meeting Santa Claus.  So, we took Hadley to the Greenwood Park Mall and met him for the first time!  Hadley was cooing at Santa as we were waiting for them to get the camera ready.  Santa replied back, "Oh yeah, is that what you want for Christmas?"  Too cute!  I wish I would have had the video set on my camera to capture the moment.

These aren't the best pictures of Hadley with Santa.  I was trying to take them quickly.  We bought one that captured a decent picture of her though...can you believe that it cost $17.11 for one 5 x 7 picture?  What happened to the days of the $3.00 polaroid?  Austin was hoping for the classic screaming baby - scared of Santa picture, but Hadley didn't seem to mind.  Santa told us we will probably achieve that one next year!

I didn't realize how much I miss just having one solid day to spend with my husband and daughter.  I love them so much and it was such a great family day!

Happy 4 Month Birthday Hadley!

Today was Hadley's 4 month birthday!  Times sure does go by fast!

Argiris Annual Christmas Party!

One of the best celebrations of the holiday season is the annual Christmas party with all of our friends at Pete and Holly's house.  This was Hadley's first year to celebrate with everyone, and from what I hear, she had a great time.  I was stuck at work while all of the festivities took place, so Austin and Hadley had to go it alone.

Austin took lots of pictures for me and everyone looked like they were having a great time...plus the food looked awesome!  Holly made sure that I got a plate full of turkey, greenbean casserole and stuffing when I got there, along with a piece of pumpkin pie...YUM!

Moser showing off his yummy plate...

Kerry and Kelsey enjoying the food...
Geni and Tracey hanging out at the bar.  It won't be long until Tracey adds another little one to the mix of kids (she's due in February!)...

A shot of Miss Hadley from above enjoying her bottle, of course!

Hadley got to hang out with lots of friends at the party...

Hadley with Kristen...

Austin said that Hadley was good for the most part when people were holding her, but got a little fussy after too long...she's definitely a daddy's girl!

Hadley with Amy...see what I mean!

Uncle Zeb enjoyed spending time with his niece!  Austin doesn't have a steady hand, so the picture is a little blurry.

Brandy, Mackenzie and Hadley hanging out.  Mackenzie told her parents that she wants a little sister...I think she was quite fond of Hadley!

Little Miss Hadley herself!

Hadley chillin' with Daddy.

Tyler and Katie posing for the camera with Hadley!

Here's Mackenzie hanging out with Hadley...like I said, I think she was quite fond!

The kids had their own gift exchange, and it looks like they had a lot of fun.  Next year Hadley will be big enough to partake!

Everyone just hanging out and enjoying time together...

It must be rough hanging out with friends, eating good food and getting a white elephant gift!  Moser, wake up!!

I hope to make it next year!  It's always a great time, and something I look forward to around the holidays!  Thanks to Pete and Holly (plus Gabe) for always throwing such a great Christmas party!
